Slavic Experience Festival 2021
Saturday, Aug. 7 and Sunday, Aug. 8, 10 am-10 pm at Father Hennepin Park, 420 Main St SE. People of Slavic heritage from Poland, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Russia, Slovakia, Belarus, Slovenia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia, as well as other Eastern European nations get together to celebrate their heritage in a fun, free, and family-friendly experience. Take a guided walking tour of the Minneapolis riverfront and learn about its dramatic past and bright future. Pit Squad Rescue MN will hold a pet adoption event at Pet Central, 2700 Central Ave NE, Saturday, Aug. 7, noon-3 pm. Dogs and other animals will be available for adoption, and spay/neutering services will be half price. Pit Squad Rescue is a nonprofit, no kill-foster based rescue focusing on the bully breed to reduce euthanasia rates.

"Immersive Van Gogh" takes the Dutch artist's paintings and projects them on the floors, walls, and ceilings at Lighthouse Minneapolis, 1515 Central Avenue NE.
