Vital Fitness
East Side Neighborhood Services, 1700 2nd St. NE. Registration: 612-787-4086 or VitalLiving@esns.org. Thursdays Weekly, 10:30-11:30 am, in person. A wide variety of balance, strength and flexibility movements will be incorporated into this fun and social group class. No cost. Pre-registration is helpful for planning purposes but not required. All abilities are encouraged to come. Movements can be done seated or standing.

The River Rats water skiing team is back on the Mississippi River, providing free shows on Thursday nights throughout the summer. Pre-show at 6:30, performance at 7 pm, until August, when pre-show starts at 6:15 and performance at 6:45. Dates are May 29; June 5, 12, 19 and 26; July 3, 10, 17, 23 and 24 (Aquatennial warmup and performance) and 31; Aug. 8, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 and 28.

Catherine Tong, a botanical artist working primarily in watercolor, has lived in Northeast Minneapolis for 9 years. She's one of 19 artists who will have their art auctioned off at the Hennepin Event Center, 900 Hennepin Ave., Friday, Aug. 8, 5-10 pm. All ticket sales and charity auction proceeds go to Read With Me Minnesota, which launched in February 2025.
