Compassionate Ocean Zen Center, 652 17th Ave. NE, is offering a free two-part Introduction to Zen Practice mini-course. Held on consecutive Mondays, Sept. 14 & 21, 7-9 pm, these classes will consist of a combination of discussion about Zen and its place in Buddhism, some information about Compassionate Ocean Zen Center, and instruction in sitting meditation.
