St. Anthony Nite to Unite
Residents of St. Anthony, this is an opportunity to put together a neighborhood celebration, turn on the front porch lights, gather with neighbors and friends, get to know one another, catch up on things, play some games with the kids, enjoy a few hot-off-the-grill favorites, have some ice cream, receive a visit from the police/fire department and build a sense of community. Sheridan Neighborhood Organization will hold its Annual Ice Cream 'SNOcial' Wednesday, August 4, 6-8 pm, at SNO Community Garden #2, 611 13th Ave NE. This free event includes Fletcher's ice cream, grilled food, community activities and discussions, and fun for the whole family. Larisa Netterlund, a resident of Audubon Park, brings live theatre back to Northeast August 5-15 as one of only a handful of indoor, in-person productions at Minnesota Fringe Festival. Channel is a ghost story, following a lighting designer (Elizabeth Efteland) working alone in the theatre. An art program utilizing West African symbols that connect to the larger diaspora will be held for teens and adults 13-24. Folks will be guided through a mixed media magical manifestation for and of the community to create work to be displayed.
