Artist Talk: Jim Maki
Local artist Jim Maki will speak about his watercolor and pen and ink artwork, and will conduct a demonstration. Pierre Bottineau Library, 55 Broadway St. NE, Saturday, May 21, 11 am-12 pm. His exhibit, "A Walk Through the Woods," is on display at the library.

OUT Venture is a new activity associated with Minneapolis' Pride Festival. Saturday, May 21, 12-6 pm at Boom Island Park, 724 Sibley St. NE, members of the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies are encouraged to get outside and enjoy the Rainbow Run, Slow Roll Bike Ride and water activities on the Mississippi River.

The Northeast Chorale invites high school and adult singers to participate in their upcoming spring season. Rehearsals are held at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church 1509 27th Ave NE, 6:30-8:pm on Tuesdays. A federal study will begin soon to consider the future of the Lower St. Anthony Falls and Lock and Dam No. 1 (a.k.a. Ford lock and dam) now that they no longer serve their original purpose.
