The City of Columbia Heights Music in the Park series returns for its second season in 2022 at Huset Park East, 3965 Jefferson St. NE. All concerts are scheduled Wednesdays, 6:30-8 pm and are free. Columbia Heights Music in the Park returns Wednesday, June 1, 6:30 pm, in Huset Park East with Bluedog, a blues/rock band that has received multiple award nominations from the Native American Music Awards and the Indian Summer Music Awards. Pillsbury Elementary will hold a carnival fundraiser Friday, June 3, 5-8 pm at Windom Park, 2251 Hayes St. NE. In addition to carnival games and a silent auction, DJ Purple Queen, Carnage the Executioner and Vivid Black Rain will perform. An obstacle course will be set up in the park, and food trucks will be on hand. Sponsored by Windom Park Citizens in Action, BLVD Autoworks, and Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board.
