Bring your broken household items to a free Hennepin County Fix-It Clinic and work together with friendly, skilled volunteers to diagnose, troubleshoot and fix your stuff. St. Boniface Catholic Church, 633 2nd St. NE, will hold is 32nd annual German dinner and polka mass Sunday, Oct. 9. Polka Mass at 11 am, followed by a traditional German dinner featuring jaegerschnitzel (roast pork), potato dumplings, sauerkraut, red cabbage and a special Bavarian dessert from noon to 3 pm or sold out. The polymer clay works of Layl McDill and the ink and acrylic paintings of Anna Karena are on display until October 30, at Unity Unitarian Church, 732 Holly Ave., St. Paul. McDill creates sculptures from polymer clay and found objects.
