Friends of the Northeast Library Book Sale
Bargain hunters and book lovers take note: Friends of the Northeast Library Booksale, Friday, Dec. 2, 9 am-5 pm and Saturday, Dec. 3, 9 am-4 pm. Most books are $1. Bag Sale on Saturday from 2:30-4 pm, plus literary gift baskets will be available. Proceeds benefit Hennepin County Library. 2200 Central Ave. NE. Book donations are accepted during library open hours.

St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, 129 29th Ave. NE, will hold its Christmas Fair and Bake Sale Saturday, Dec. 3, 9 am-4 pm and Sunday, Dec. 4, 11 am-noon. Many items for sale as well as baked goods. Drawings at 12 pm Sunday. Donations of baked goods and used items accepted before the sale.

Step into the wonderland of Layl McDill’s studio in the Flux Arts Building. She shares her space with her husband Josh Blanc as part of Clay Squared to Infinity. The labor crisis has led to a declining volunteer workforce. How much of a decline? One-third of the Area Agencies on Aging lost at least 50% of their volunteers since 2019.
