The Northeast Farmers Market Winter Market will be held the second Saturday of the month, 11 am-3 pm, through April at Earl Giles Distillery, 1325 Quincy St. NE.

My Very Own Bed's ninth annual Beds & Bluegrass fundraiser will be held Saturaday, Dec. 10, 3-7 pm at the Ukrainian Event Center, 301 Main St. NE. On Saturday, Dec. 10, 7 pm, Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1621 University Ave. NE (ample parking), will host their Second Annual Advent Lessons and Carols. Sunday, Dec. 11, 3 pm. This free concert will feature favorite Christmas hymns and carols sung by Salem’s children, youth and adult choirs. The church’s Wind Ensemble, Handbell Ensemble and organist will also take centerstage to spread Christmas cheer. There will also be a crowd sing-along portion.
