Fall prevention workshop
"Matter of Balance," an 8-week fall prevention workshop for seniors 60+, will be held Tuesdays, Oct. 18-Dec. 6, 2-4 pm at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 4101 Washington St. NE. Pre-Registration is required; call Parish Nurse Kathy Rosenberg, RN at 612-296-1812. Class size limited.

Step into the wonderland of Layl McDill’s studio in the Flux Arts Building. She shares her space with her husband Josh Blanc as part of Clay Squared to Infinity. Layl creates polymer clay sculptures that focus on wonderment and storytelling and Josh makes handmade tiles. She will give a tour of both her studio and her husband’s and tell a story. The labor crisis has led to a declining volunteer workforce. How much of a decline? One-third of the Area Agencies on Aging lost at least 50% of their volunteers since 2019. Relying on volunteers helps us serve older adults low- to no-cost meals and helps them remain in their own homes longer.
