Lorna Landvik at CH Library
Bestselling author Lorna Landvik will be the guest speaker at the Columbia Heights Library's Saturday Scribes Author Series, June 8, 10:30 am-12 pm. Many of Landvik’s novels are set in Minnesota. They often feature family dynamics and grief, told in Landvik’s humorous and warm style. She has written 12 novels and puts on an improvised comedy show in Minneapolis once a year. The Minnesota Dept. of Transportation will hold a public meeting about the reconstruction of University Ave. from 27th Ave. NE to Central Ave. SE. at Las Estrellas Dual Language Elementary School, 1201 University Ave. NE, 4:30-6:30 pm, Tuesday, June 11. The project would begin in 2027.

Exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions. Share feelings, needs and concerns. The call for art is open for the 2025 Northeast Calendar, coordinated by the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. Images should represent Northeast in various ways and seasons.
