The City of Minneapolis is asking resident to take a survey to help develop a 10-year Transportation Action Plan to help the City ensure that all people have safe, comfortable, and equitable transportation options.

This summer, the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization partnered with Urban Boatbuilders and East Side Neighborhood Services on a boat-building project at its Stormwater Park and Learning Center. The public is invited to visit the exhibit through the end of September.

Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, 1701 St. Anthony Pkwy., will hold its annual Caramel Fest Saturday, Sept. 8, 11 am-3 pm. It's a a day of food (yes, there will be caramel, including apple caramel brats from Ready's Meats), live music and games to benefit The Sheridan Story. Music lineup: 11 am - Lost Golden Toads; Noon - Roszo; 1:00 pm - Bobby Burns Music; 2 pm - Karaoke contest! Caramel Fest will take place rain or shine.
