There are bird counts, and there are bike counts. Volunteers are needed to count the number of bicyclists and pedestrians at several locations around Minneapolis and surrounding Hennepin County. The main days for counting will be September 11-13. All count shifts are from 4 to 6 pm. Bicyclist and pedestrian counts are conducted to understand the impact of nonmotorized traffic on streets, sidewalks, and trails.
