Waite Park Fall Festival
The Waite Park Community Council will host a Fall Festival open to all community members and surrounding areas. Meet your fellow neighbors and support local vendors. There will be food trucks, live music, kid and adult activities, and more. Saturday, Sept. 18, 3-7 pm, Waite Park, 1810 34th Ave. NE. "Bodies of Resistance", a collaborative art show celebrating women’s stories and experiences of resistance through photography, paint and printed word, opens with a reception Friday, Sept. 3, 7 -10 pm at ArtSpace Jackson Flats, 901 18 ½ Ave NE. Knit & Bolt, 2833 Johnson Street NE, has partnered with The Peoples Laundry Mpls., which provides laundry assistance and clothing to neighbors in need, to launch a quilt drive for unhoused neighbors. From now through Oct. 13, drop a clean, new or gently-used quilt at Knit & Bolt. Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am-6 pm.
