Nonprofit Newgate School, 2900 E. Hennepin Ave., will celebrate its 50th year of offering free mechanic school training to underserved young adults on Saturday, Aug. 2, 10 am-2 pm. The event will include a car show, music, food trucks, awards, raffles and kids’ activities. Suggested donation: $10.
