Mystery Trash Remix & Red Cross Green Gathering
Art to Change the World has been invited to show a selection of pieces from their Mystery Trash Remix at the Red Cross regional headquarters, 1201 West River Parkway. The exhibit will be on view March 27-May 6. You can visit the building during open hours Sundays, Fridays and Saturdays, 7 am to 3:15 pm, and Mondays-Wednesdays, 11 am-7 pm. 2026 Earth Day 5K Bee Run/Walk/River Cleanup
Saturday, April 18, 9 am-12 pm, Boom Island Park, 724 Sibley St. NE. The 10th annual Earth Day Bee Run 5K run/walk/river cleanup will be held in the only national park offering scenic views of the Mississippi River. Family-friendly, dogs welcome, music & booths. Celebrate Earth Day at MWMO Stormwater Park and Learning Center, 2522 Marshall St. NE. Join author and muralist Katie Yamasaki as she celebrates the release of her newest picture book, Ripples. The event will include a short talk from Yamasaki and Michelle Spangler from the Mississippi Watershed sharing tips of what you can do to keep the Mississippi River clean, along with kid-friendly activities, and a book signing (with sales from Wild Rumpus Bookstore). Sunday, April 26, 11 am-3 pm, North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center, 2825 N. 2nd St. The MN Pocket Pet Rescue turns 12 this year. NE Park Fest
Lower NE Neighborhoods Association (LNENA) will host its annual NE Park Fest in partnership with Minneapolis Parks and Recreatopm. Community members will have access to entertainment, food, information and resources. It's free, held outside NE Park Recreation Center, 1530 Johnson St. NE, Monday, July 20, 6-8:30 pm. This event will take place during the annual NE/SE soccer celebration; more than 1,000 people are expected in the park that day.
