Deliver Meals on Wheels
The labor crisis has led to a declining volunteer workforce. How much of a decline? One-third of the Area Agencies on Aging lost at least 50% of their volunteers since 2019. Relying on volunteers helps us serve older adults low- to no-cost meals and helps them remain in their own homes longer. Grocery shop for seniors
Grocery shop for seniors through Help At Your Door. Start your day off right and get some exercise while helping older adults meet their grocery needs. As a volunteer shopper you will work with a team of volunteers to fill orders at the grocery store for about 3 hours once a week or twice per month. Volunteers do not pay for groceries. Tai Ji Quan: Moving for better balance beginner class, Mondays and Thursdays, 10:30-11:30 am, Sept. 18-Dec. 14 via Zoom. From now until Jan. 15, 2024, Theater Latté Da will accept applications for its NEXT Generation Commission. The commission will go to BIPOC and women artists and will support the creation and development of new musical theater projects. In addition to the $20,000 commission awarded to the individual artist or creative team, the project will receive creative and developmental support over an 18-month period, including two developmental workshops totaling a minimum of 50 hours.
