The exhibition, titled "Your Hands Were Making Artifacts In The Corners Of My Mind," will feature works from 22 artists who are current residents in the PF Studios program. In conjunction with the five-year anniversary of the PF Studios program, Public Functionary will release a commemorative book. This 150-page volume documents the program's journey, featuring profiles of 35 PF Studios artists, essays by Taylor Jasper, Leslie Barlow, Shana Kaplow and Tricia Heuring, and behind-the-scenes insights into the program's development. Responding to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Piotr Szyhalski began drawing Labor Camp Reports once again. Much like the COVID-19: Labor Camp Report series from 2020, this new and ongoing body of work serves as a way of witnessing and recording the experience of “extreme historical phenomenon” unfolding in real time.
