Columbia Heights 2021 Music in the Park lineup
The City of Columbia Heights will be hosting its inaugural Music in the Park series this summer as part of the City’s centennial celebrations. The three-part series features current and former Columbia Heights residents. This event is free to the public, but seating is limited.

Larisa Netterlund, a resident of Audubon Park, brings live theatre back to Northeast August 5-15 as one of only a handful of indoor, in-person productions at Minnesota Fringe Festival. Channel is a ghost story, following a lighting designer (Elizabeth Efteland) working alone in the theatre. An art program utilizing West African symbols that connect to the larger diaspora will be held for teens and adults 13-24. Folks will be guided through a mixed media magical manifestation for and of the community to create work to be displayed. VillageFest returns to St. Anthony Village after its pandemic hiatus, Aug. 6-7. The annual parade kicks things off at 7:30 pm Friday, Aug. 6. Pit Squad Rescue MN will hold a pet adoption event at Pet Central, 2700 Central Ave NE, Saturday, Aug. 7, noon-3 pm. Dogs and other animals will be available for adoption, and spay/neutering services will be half price. Pit Squad Rescue is a nonprofit, no kill-foster based rescue focusing on the bully breed to reduce euthanasia rates.
