Minneapolis Edible Boulevards cooking class
Minneapolis Edible Boulevards, a Northeast based initiative devoted to food justice advocacy, especially in Green Zone neighborhoods, will present a free cooking class at Sheridan Community Garden (SNO #2), 611 13th Ave. NE, with Le Truong on Saturday, Aug. 9, 11 am-12 pm. The National Wildlife Federation’s Mayors’ Monarch Pledge encourages communities to create habitats for the monarch butterfly and other pollinators and educate residents about how to make a difference. As part of the Monarch Pledge, the City of Columbia Heights will hold a Monarch Festival on Thursday, Aug. 14, 4-7 pm at Huset Park, 3965 Jefferson St. NE, with activities and entertainment celebrating pollinators.

Off-Leash Area Neighborhood Garage Tour
Off-Leash Area brings bringing original, professional dance and theater to Northeast Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19-20, 7:30 pm.
