Vital Living classes at ESNS

Tai Ji Quan, Moving for Better Balance: Beginner Class, Mondays and Thursdays, 10:30-11:30 am, Sept. 29-Dec. 22 via Zoom. Tai Ji Quan uses fluid, mindful movements to help participants reduce the risk of falls by improving balance, muscle strength, flexibility, and mobility. These one-hour beginner sessions meet twice a week over Zoom for 24 sessions. ESNS can help you navigate Zoom. All participants must have a computer or tablet (with a camera and microphone) or a smartphone. Registered participants will receive class information prior to the class start date. Cost share donations accepted based on a sliding fee scale.
A Matter of Balance: Tuesdays, 10:30-12:30 pm, Oct. 4-Nov. 22. Maintain independence and improve balance. In this award winning class, participants will learn to view falls as controllable, reduce fall risk at home, set goals for increasing activity, and exercise to improve strength and balance. This engaging eight-week program meets weekly on Tuesdays for two hours. This class will be offered in person at East Side Neighborhood Services. Registered participants will receive class information prior to the class start date. Cost share donations accepted based on a sliding fee scale.
Monthly Support Groups: Attendance is open to any adult 18+ years of age who is a caregiver for an older adult. First time participants will need to request a link and password to enter the calls. Caregiver Support Groups: Wednesday, Sept. 14, 1-2 pm. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2-3 pm, via Zoom. LGBTQ+ Caregiver Group: Monday, Sept. 19, 1-2 pm, via Zoom.
