Music in the Park: Tjärnblom
Tjärnblom, Swedish for "woodland lake flower," is a Scandinavian-style string band featuring a beautiful blend of Nyckelharpa, Octave Mandolin, Harmonium and Cello. They travel a modern "Snoose Boulevard Highway" in their musical journey, playing a repertoire of both old and new Swedish, Finnish, Minnesotan and original tunes for dancing and for listening. Summer Slam is a fundraiser for the Thomas Edison high school wrestling team to support their need for new gear and other expenses. The event will begin on July 12 with a barbecue at noon and wrestling matches starting at 3:30 pm.
