Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church will hold a garage sale June 22-23 in its parking lot at 27th Ave. and Johnson St. NE to benefit the Little Kitchen Food Shelf. They're looking for donations of items to sell as well as volunteers. They can turn your unwanted household items into food for hungry neighbors. A habitat restoration information session will take place June 25 at DeLaSalle High School, 6:30-7:30 p.m. In partnership with the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization and the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board, Friends of the Mississippi River will lead a multi-year restoration of the natural areas on the north half of the island.
