Indeed Brewing, 711 15th Avenue NE, will host an Oktoberfest benefit for the Edison Community Sports Foundation on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 3-11 pm. All profits from the taproom sales of beer will go to the ECSF scholarship fund and help launch the NIles Schulz scholarship fund. Food trucks will be available and the Edison Alumni Band will make an appearance around 7 pm.

The 15th Annual Historic Riverfront 5K Run/Walk is Saturday, Oct. 13, at Boom Island Park. St. Anthony Westneighborhood has partnered with Mill City Museum to provide highlights of Minneapolis history along the route, which runs along the river and over the Stone Arch Bridge. Kramarczuk's brats will be available at the finish line. Proceeds benefit neighborhood parks and activities in the St Anthony West Neighborhood, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Minneapolis, which includes Boom Island, BF Nelson, and Dickman parks.
