The City of Columbia Heights will host its inaugural City Services Expo and Town Hall event March 2, 11 am-2 pm, at the Columbia Heights Public Library. Representatives from all city departments will be present to answer residents’ questions about Columbia Heights and local government. There will be information booths and break-out presentations on specific subjects. Residents can also apply for permits, renew pet licenses, offer feedback on city services, and more. Presented by Voyagers and St. Anthony VillageFest, a free outdoor winter-themed community festival celebrating the end of winter and raising money and awareness for Nourish 282, a non-profit helping families with food insecurity. The Ukrainian American Community Center, 301 Main St. NE, will have a five-session Pysanky workshop, Saturdays, March 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, 1-3 pm. A pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method.
