WinterFest, a fun, free, event will be held Saturday, March 7, 10 am-5 pm at Central Park Pavilion, 34th Ave. NE & Silver Lake Road. Celebrating winter and the end of winter, the event raises awareness and funds for Nourish 282 and VillageFest, and features family-friendly events organized by the Voyagers and Fitness Crossroad. Columbia Heights Federation of Teachers is hosting a public education roundtable on Saturday, March 7 at 1:30 pm at the Columbia Heights Public Library. All candidates for the house seat in congressional district 41B were invited to attend this roundtable to share their view on public education policy and funding.
