The Northeast Community Band will present its free annual holiday concert Thursday, Dec. 9, 7 pm, at Elim Church, 685 13th Ave. NE. Enjoy new arrangements of old favorites, including Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride." Audience members are asked to be masked and vaccinated, and a list will be kept for contact tracing. Northeast artists Iroha Ito and Andrew Lucia (known together as LUCITO) are featured in a celebration at the new City of Minneapolis Public Service Building, 505 S 4th Ave. The Dec. 10 celebration will feature the artists, self-guided tours, music, and refreshments. The Edison High School Band will play a concert, Thursday, Dec. 9, 7 pm, featuring Concert Band, Jazz Band and Beginning Drum Lines. The concert will feature “Christine’s Lullaby” by Minneapolis composer Carl Schroeder.
