“A feather plucked from its bird” and “Fill the Void”
Opening reception Jan. 29, 5-8 pm at Dreamsong, 1247 4th St. NE. Benjamin Merritt’s exhibition, "A feather plucked from its bird", is titled after his eponymous new artist’s book, a variable collection of unbound handmade prints produced through multiple printmaking processes. Merritt works from copperplate etchings, scraping away the copper to transpose a long history of gestures and marks on the final print. February Vital Living Classes at ESNS

All events and activities offered by the Hennepin County Library system have been paused for an indefinite time. The decision to pause programming through the month of February was in response to anticipated staffing shortages. The Ukrainian Center will sell frozen pierogies and to-go bowls of borscht at the NE Farmers Market "Winter Market", Saturday, Feb. 5, 11 am-1 pm at St Boniface Church, 629 2nd St. NE (parking lot). Pierogies include a side of sauteed onions & sour cream packet, $13/dozen. Bowls of borscht are $5. Heat and eat immediately or freeze and use later for those sub-zero winter nights. Fundraising proceeds benefit cultural and youth programs at the Ukrainian Center.
