Lock and dam tours
A federal study will begin soon to consider the future of the Lower St. Anthony Falls and Lock and Dam No. 1 (a.k.a. Ford lock and dam) now that they no longer serve their original purpose. What should be done with these structures? Is dam removal a feasible option? Pillsbury Elementary will hold a carnival fundraiser Friday, June 3, 5-8 pm at Windom Park, 2251 Hayes St. NE. In addition to carnival games and a silent auction, DJ Purple Queen, Carnage the Executioner and Vivid Black Rain will perform.
