Neighborhood Day Camps
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board will offer low-cost day camps for kids 8-13 years old this summer at Logan and Van Cleve parks. Camps are all four days each and run Tuesday-Friday, 10 am-5 pm, spanning June 27-Aug. 18. First camp runs June 27-30, last camp runs August 15-18. Great blue herons return to their rookery on the Mississippi River toward the end of March. Join Ranger Will at Marshall Terrace Park, 2740 Marshall St. NE, Saturday, March 18, 11 am-1 pm. Watch the herons rebuild nests and do a little flirting. You may see the resident peregrine falcons fly over, as well as migrating ducks such buffleheads and goldeneye. Egg hunt at Waite Park
Waite Park Church and the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board have teamed up to hide 5,000 Easter eggs in Waite Park, 1810 34th Ave NE, on Saturday, April 8, 9:30 am-12 pm. Ball City fundraiser
Calling all kids, parents, neighbors, friends and ballers. Ball City created two basketball teams that recently kicked off their tournament season. Ball City is raising funds to support with purchasing food and snacks, lodging, travel and van rentals, space rental for practices and team jerseys.
