SPARK! Art and Nature for People Living with Memory Loss
Thursday, Dec. 11, Silverwood Park. People living with memory loss and their caregivers explore the simple beauty of nature, the joy of art making and how they enrich our lives. Each month features a new topic about the current season or the gallery show on display. Sunday, Dec. 14, Silverwood Park. Watch some kooky animal puppets as they stop Trasher the Trash Can from trashing nature. Performance begins promptly at 1 pm. After the show, try your hand at making an art project related to the show until 3 pm. or join a naturalist-led exploration from 1:30–2 pm. Join a naturalist for a walk along the trails. Observe seasonal changes happening across the habitats and landscapes. Bring binoculars if you have them or some will be available to borrow at the park. Drop-ins welcome. Hike departs shortly after 2 pm from in front of the visitor center. Participants ages 11 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2-3 pm, Silverwood Park. Free.
