Minneapolis-based photographer Nicole Houff will showcase her flair for fantasy, humor, and hyper-staged reality. Her work unfolds in a perfect plastic world inhabited by a certain iconic doll, her eternally poised muse. Drawing from the ultra-stylized pop culture of the 1950s and '60s, Nicole’s photographs toe the line between satire and reverence, nostalgia and commentary. Theater Latté Da announced that single tickets are now on sale for its first two productions of the season, "Journey On: A 100th Show Cabaret Celebration," and Lerner & Loewe’s timeless classic "My Fair Lady." Latté Da opens the season with "Journey On" Oct. 8-19. "My Fair Lady" will run Nov. 12-Dec. 29, the first Lerner & Loewe musical to be presented in the theater company’s 28-year history. Minneapolis Parks & Recreation is offering a new workshop, "I Was Just Diagnosed With Alzheimer's (AD) or Mild Cognitive Impairment, Now What?" Presented by an ex-teacher who was diagnosed with AD. There is almost no support for people who are newly diagnosed with AD; support from the medical community or insurance companies typically doesn't begin until 3-5 years after diagnosis.
