Ward 1 City Council Candidate Forum
The League of Women Voters will moderate a candidate forum Thursday, Sept. 25, 6:30-8 pm, Northeast Park Recreation Center, 1530 Johnson St. NE. Minneapolis Parks & Recreation is offering a new workshop, "I Was Just Diagnosed With Alzheimer's (AD) or Mild Cognitive Impairment, Now What?" Presented by an ex-teacher who was diagnosed with AD. There is almost no support for people who are newly diagnosed with AD; support from the medical community or insurance companies typically doesn't begin until 3-5 years after diagnosis. Edison High School will host a plaque dedication/veteran appreciation ceremony on Tuesday, Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
