LPNA Bike Rodeo
Logan Park Neighborhood Associatoin and Pedal Power present Bike Rodeo, Saturday, June 14 at Logan Park, 690 13th Ave. NE, 1-3 pm. Celebrate bike riding with a bicycle obstacle course designed with kids and new riders in mind. Decorate your bike and helmet; learn how to ride a bike. Face painting, kids' activities, free snacks, free bike and helmet safety checks. Enter the raffle to win a bike.

The Columbia Heights Lions Club will hosting the annual Jamboree Thursday, June 26, through Sunday, June 29, at Huset Park, 3965 Jefferson St. NE. Thursday night the City Knights band will entertain. Friday night the parade kicks off at 6 pm, and the DNR Band will play after the parade ends. Nonprofit Newgate School, 2900 E. Hennepin Ave., will celebrate its 50th year of offering free mechanic school training to underserved young adults on Saturday, Aug. 2, 10 am-2 pm. The event will include a car show, music, food trucks, awards, raffles and kids' activities. Suggested donation: $10.
