2026 Earth Day 5K Bee Run/Walk/River Cleanup
Saturday, April 18, 9 am-12 pm, Boom Island Park, 724 Sibley St. NE. The 10th annual Earth Day Bee Run 5K run/walk/river cleanup will be held in the only national park offering scenic views of the Mississippi River. Family-friendly, dogs welcome, music & booths. Celebrate Earth Day at MWMO Stormwater Park and Learning Center, 2522 Marshall St. NE. Join author and muralist Katie Yamasaki as she celebrates the release of her newest picture book, Ripples. Doors Open in NE
Doors Open Minneapolis will be held Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10. The following venues will be open in Northeast: Saturday and Sunday, 10 am-5 pm, Flux Arts, 2505 Howard St. NE; and Architectural Antiques, 1330 Quincy St. NE. Kramarczuk's Sausage, 215 E. Hennepin, will be open Saturday only 10 am-5 pm. The Ritz Theater, 3445 13th Ave. NE, and the Ard Godfrey House, 28 University Ave. SE, will be open 10 am-5 pm Sunday. All venues are free.

River Rats Season Opener
The Twin Cities River Rats open their 2026 waterskiiing show season Thursday, June 4 at 7 pm (6:20 pre-show). The free shows run every Thursday through August The team skis along the Mississippi River by Boom Island. Arrive early for parking, bring lawn chairs or a blanket for seating. Concessions are available for purchase. They ski rain or shine.
