Theater Latte Da presents “All is Calm”
November 27 - December 22
Theater Latté Da’s original “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914,” opens Nov. 27 and runs through Dec. 22, at the Ritz Theater, 345 13th Ave NE. The docu-musical recalls an astounding moment in history when Allied and German soldiers met in “No Man’s Land” and laid down their arms to celebrate the holiday together by trading carols, sharing food and drink, playing soccer, and burying the dead.
The show is celebrating a homecoming after a successful Off-Broadway run in 2018 at the Sheen Center for Thought & Culture, for which it won a Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience. Directed by Theater Latté Da’s founding Artistic Director Peter Rothstein with vocal arrangements by Erick Lichte and Timothy C. Takach, the production combines period songs and firsthand accounts.
The production will feature the talents of the Minneapolis-based cast who starred in the highly-lauded Off-Broadway run including Sasha Andreev, Paul Coate, Benjamin Dutcher, Andrew Hey, Ben Johnson, Riley McNutt, Rodolfo Nieto, James Ramlet, Andrew Wilkowske, and Evan Tyler Wilson. Tickets are available at Latteda.org or by calling the Box Office at 612-339-3003.
