Drop-in Needle Felted Bookmarks for Families: Saturday, April 19, 3-4:30 pm. Grades 2-12 and families. Learn about felting – the oldest fabric technique in the world. You’ll use a special needle for felting to transform soft fluffy wool into a strong fabric. Cut the felted fabric into a rectangular shape and decorate with embroidery. Then you will have the perfect bookmark for your reading adventures. Materials provided. Collaborator: Textile Center. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
Author Talk: Joshua Moehling: Monday, April 21, 6:30-7:30 pm. Local author Joshua Moehling will read from and discuss his newest Ben Packer thriller, “A Long Time Gone,” released in February. This is the third book in the series. His books are set in fictional Sandy Lake, north of the Twin Cities. The small-town atmosphere plays a major role in his books. The previous book in the Ben Packard series, “Where the Dead Sleep,” was nominated for the 2024 Lambda Literary award for Best LGBTQ+ mystery.
