Baby Storytime: For children from birth-24 months and their parent or caregiver. Talk, sing, read, write and play together in a format especially designed for babies. Share books, stories, rhymes, music and movement. Tuesdays, 9:30 am.

Job Search Assistance: Are you seeking new employment or re-entering the workforce? Do you need help looking for a job, filling out applications or writing your résumé? Stop in for free assistance with a job search representative. Monthly, every first and third Wednesday, 12:15-2:15 pm.
City of Minneapolis Small Business Consultations: A representative from the City of Minneapolis will meet with Minneapolis-based business owners to answer your permitting, financing and licensing questions, and give advice about business plans and mentoring. No appointment necessary. Partner: City of Minneapolis City Coordinator’s Office. Monthly, every first Tuesday, 3-5 pm.
Chess Club: Have fun learning the basics of chess, improving your game, mastering strategies and meeting other chess fans. Suitable for ages 6 and older. Walk-ins welcome. Sponsor: Friends of the Northeast Library. Every Wednesday, 4:30-6:30 pm.
Maker Monday: Make something cool. It might be a building challenge, a piece of jewelry, a work of art, or something totally off-the-wall. Drop in to find out what they’re making. Materials provided. Sponsor: Friends of the Northeast Library. Mondays, 3:30-4:30 pm.
Nigh-time Animals: Grades 1-6. Discover the lives of nocturnal animals and the amazing features that allow them to be active at night. Make a whimsical, 3D mask inspired by the nocturnal animal of your choice. Drop in or stay the entire time. Materials provided. Collaborator: Three Rivers Park District. Music Performance by Mestifonía: Join them for a performance by Mestifonía, a Minnesota-based band that blends Colombian, Bolivian and American talent in a unique set of styles from the Iberian Peninsula and South America, bringing to life the sound of fado, flamenco, cueca, tango, bolero and more. Saturday, Oct. 19, 3:30-4:30 pm.
Stories Together With Drag Performers: Celebrate self-expression, dress-up, and gender fluidity through stories, rhymes, music and movement with drag performers from our community. These events will be safe, positive, and encouraging space for children and caregivers to express themselves in an open environment. Friday, Oct. 25, 10-10:30 am.
¡Yo Puedo Hacer Música!/I Can Make Music!: For children ages 1-5. Hands-on musical play activities led by early childhood music specialists will let your family experience music’s impact on learning and reading readiness. Together you will sing, rhyme, read, move and create. Program will be conducted half in Spanish, half in English. Collaborator: MacPhail Center for Music. Funded by Minnesota’s Arts and Culturla Heritage Fund. Note: Please register each child attending. A maximum of two caregivers per registered child may also attend.
