Northeast Community Band holiday concert

The Northeast Community Band will present its annual holiday concert Thursday, Dec. 19, 7 pm at Edison High School, 700 22nd Ave. NE. The free concert will feature a Morton Gould rendition of “Jingle Bells,” as well as old favorites such as “Sleigh Ride” and “Auld Lang Syne.” Free. The band will hold a raffle for restaurant gift cards; proceeds will go toward the band’s Ralph Sowden Memorial Scholarship, which encourages Edison seniors to continue their musical experience after high school. Refreshments served after the concert.
