Flowing like a River:  An Evening of Music and Poetry

Friday, June 20, 6:30-9 pm. Enjoy an evening of music and poetry at Compassionate Ocean Zen Center, 652 17th Ave. NE. As part of their 25th anniversary celebrations, a select group of musicians and poets will perform, flowing seemlessly from one to the next–creating a river of artistic expression. Author and poet Wang Ping will read from her new book “The River Within,” accompanied by guitarist and collaborator Jeff Lambert. The second set features jazz musician and composer Davu Seru filling the space with resonant vibrations from a Dora gong.
