Now in its 27th year, the Northeast Community Band will perform its final concert of the season at Huset Park, 3965 Jefferson St. NE, Wednesday. Aug. 20, 6:30 pm. The band rehearses on Thursday nights at Edison High School during the school year. Each year, the band awards a scholarship to an Edison senior to encourage them to continue their musical journey.

Columbia Heights High School class of 1975 will hold its 50th reunion on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at Rail Werks Brewing Depot, 4055 Central Ave. NE., beginning at 4 pm. In 1915, 118 small independent grocers served Northeast Minneapolis. Today, only ghostly storefronts remain. On this tour of storefronts in the Windom Park neighborhood, you’ll discover forgotten histories of close-knit families, lutefisk barrels, crime sprees and tarantulas.
