Hazardous waste collection
Hennepin County will host a community collection of hazardous wastes Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3 at the City of Minneapolis Equipment Storage Building, 1809 Washington St. NE. Bring unwanted paints, stains, varnish, aerosol cans, gasoline, antifreeze, batteries (tape terminals), pesticides and more for safe disposal, 9 am to 3 pm.

Local Deaf artist Kaylah Vogt seeks a nonprofit sponsor for an art raffle during Art-A-Whirl. Proceeds will support her family, who are all out of work caring for her grandmother after a major stroke. Minnesota law requires raffles to be run through a nonprofit. Kaylah will handle the artwork, promotion and logistics. If interested in partnering, contact kaylahvogt.network@gmail.com. Kaylah will donate a percentage to the nonprofit for partnering.
