A Matter of Balance
East Side Neighborhood Services (ESNS), 1700 2nd St. NE. Registration: 612-787-4086 or VitalLiving@esns.org. Tuesdays, 1-3 pm, May 20-July 10. In-person at ESNS. Free, but donations accepted. In eight, two-hour classes, participants learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable, set realistic goals for increasing activity, change their environments to reduce risk factors and use exercise to increase strength and balance.

Explore the transformation of Minneapolis’ riverfront at Graco Park with project experts from Barr Engineering and AFLA Landscape Architects. This guided walk will highlight the park’s landscape design, ecological restoration and the historic Hall's Island. Welcome session for new people
Sunday, June 1, 9-11 am, Compassionate Ocean Zen Center, 652 17th Ave. NE. Interested in Zen? Attend a welcome session for beginners. Guided meditation instruction and a Dharma talk oriented to new people will be presented. Welcome sessions provide extra orientation and are a great time to bring a friend and attend a Sunday morning program for the first time.

Fantastic Voyage Improv performs monthly at two locations in Northeast.
