Gods and Monsters Book Group
Gods and Monsters is a free Twin Cities book group, open to all who read the book. Their next meeting will be at the Eastside Food Co-op Community Room, Sunday Aug. 28, 4-5:30 p.m. They will be discussing "Vacationland" by Sarah Stonich.

An interfaith panel, including Jewish, Muslim and Christian travelers, will share their insights from a recent visit to Israel and Palestine, Tuesday, Aug. 30, 7-9 p.m., at Northeast United Methodist Church, 2510 Cleveland St. NE. The Northeast Chorale, a mixed-voice choir based in NE Minneapolis, will begin rehearsals for its second fall season on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Weekly rehearsals are held at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, 1509 Johnson Street NE. There will be two November concerts and one December concert. Singers in high school, college, and adults are invited to be part of the choir.
