Who is MLK? A Day of Nourishment, Growth, Service, & Healing
Nativity Lutheran Church will host a third annual Martin Luther King Day Celebration & Children’s March at 9 am, January 21. This event will teach about MLK and the civil rights movement. Participants will have opportunities to ask questions, have an open dialogue, create art projects, and see local artists perform. The count will take place Wednesday, Jan. 23, at sundown, and end at sunrise Thursday, Jan. 24. Locations throughout the county, including homeless shelters, city streets, and other known homeless encampments will be canvased in an attempt to interview people who are experiencing homelessness.
