Five of the more than 20 farmers’ markets and mini-markets operating in Minneapolis during the growing season will hold Winter Markets on weekends November through April. Local Winter Markets include: the Northeast Farmers Market, the Mill City Farmers Market, and the Municipal Minneapolis Farmers Market.

HeightsNEXT, a non-profit focused on increasing sustainability, is organizing volunteers for an Earth Day Cleanup, Saturday, April 24, at 9 am. Volunteers’ efforts will freshen up local streetscapes and prevent trash from drifting through storm drains into the Mississippi River.

MSP International Film Festival will be hybrid
MSP Film Society has announce that the 40th Minneapolis St. Paul International
Film Festival (MSPIFF40) will be Thursday, May 13-Sunday, May 23. Due to the
ongoing pandemic, MSPIFF40 will be a hybrid festival, with films and panels presented primarily in the virtual world, with plans for several outdoor screenings.

The Catholic Churches of Northeast Minneapolis will be hosting the 16th Annual Northeast Eucharistic Procession, Sunday, June 13. The procession will begin at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1621 University Ave. NE, at 3 pm, and will conclude at the Church of All Saints, 435 4th St. NE, after processing past Sts. Cyril and Methodius, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Boniface, St. Constantine, and St. Maron.
