Is it time to remove some Twin CIties dams and restore the Mississippi River Gorge?
In 2022, the Army Corps of Engineers will begin studying the future of two Twin Cities locks and dams: Lower St. Anthony Falls and Lock and Dam No. 1 (the "Ford dam"). One potential future outcome is removal of these dams and restoration of the Mississippi River Gorge.
