2025 NEXT Festival
Theater Latté Da will present three dynamic new works during its NEXT Festival. "The Homefront" by Malika Oyetimein, Jenny Stafford and Sam Salmond; "How to Play the Cello (Until You Don't)" by Benjamin Emory Larson; and "Okuni" by Naomi Iizuka and Paul Hodge will each receive a two-week developmental workshop and two public presentations. Father Hennepin Bluffs Park summer events
All concerts will perform at Father Hennepin Bluffs Park, 420 Main St. SE. Matt Hannah will perform a folk/Americana concert on Tuesday, July 15, 7-8 pm. The Jesse Street Duo will give a jazz/pop concert on Tuesday, July 29, 7-8 pm. The Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra will perform classical music on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 7-8 pm. Now in its 27th year, the Northeast Community Band will perform its final concert of the season at Huset Park, 3965 Jefferson St. NE, Wednesday. Aug. 20, 6:30 pm. The band rehearses on Thursday nights at Edison High School during the school year. Each year, the band awards a scholarship to an Edison senior to encourage them to continue their musical journey.

Off-Leash Area presents: “Stardust Rendezvous”
Off-Leash Area continues its popular Neighborhood Garage Tour community program, bringing original professional dance and theater directly to Northeast. In the magical and comical Stardust Rendezvous, three wayward space travelers from three remote galaxies simultaneously crash-land on an asteroid at the edge of nowhere. Under the direction of Jerry Hui, the Eau Claire Schola Cantorum celebrates the 500th anniversary of the birth of Italian Renaissance composer Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina.
