Paddle Share, the kayak-sharing system for experienced kayakers that allows them to share the use of a kayak on the Mississippi River, opened May 26 and will run through the end of September. The Minnesota Historical Society will have a Railroad History Walking Tour, Sunday, June 3, 1-2:45 pm, starting at Mill City Museum. Take a guided tour of railroad landmarks, including the Stone Arch Bridge, Milwaukee Road Depot, and the Minneapolis Eastern Railway engine house and trestle. The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is offering free golf or clinics for women at Minneapolis Golf courses, including Columbia Golf Learning Center, 445 Saint Anthony Parkway, Tuesday, June 5, 5-8 pm. Participants have the option to either participate in a free two-hour clinic with PGA and LPGA instructors, or play 9-holes of golf for free, walking or riding. The next East of the River Park Master Plan Community Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting will be Wednesday, June 13, 6-8 pm, at Northeast Recreation Center, 1530 Johnson St. NE. The meeting will focus on operations and maintenance of parks, as well as a discussion about the guiding principles for the Master Plan. CAC meetings are open to the public, with free dinner and children’s activities.
