Is it time to remove some Twin CIties dams and restore the Mississippi River Gorge?
In 2022, the Army Corps of Engineers will begin studying the future of two Twin Cities locks and dams: Lower St. Anthony Falls and Lock and Dam No. 1 (the "Ford dam"). One potential future outcome is removal of these dams and restoration of the Mississippi River Gorge. Free Online Mental Health Support Groups for Individuals and Families
NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) offers a variety of free online peer support groups for adults and young adults living with a mental illness, their families, friends, spouses/partners, as well as parents of children and teens. African-American, LGBTQ and BIPOC community focused groups are also offered. Led by trained peer facilitators, the support groups help individuals and families learn coping skills and find strength through sharing their experiences. NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) has set up a wide variety of free online mental health classes for March and April 2022, along with some in-person classes.
