Free Online Mental Health Support Groups for Individuals and Families
NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) offers a variety of free online peer support groups for adults and young adults living with a mental illness, their families, friends, spouses/partners, as well as parents of children and teens. African-American, GLBTQ and BIPOC community focused groups are also offered. Hennepin & First concept listening session
Hennepin County has developed a recommended roadway concept for Hennepin and First avenues (County Road 52) between Main and 8th streets in Northeast Minneapolis based on the feedback received in the last year. A third virtual listening session will be held Tuesday, June 7, from 6-8 p.m. to review this recommended concept and learn more about next steps. East Side Neighborhood Services' Caregiver Support Groups meet via Zoom twice in June. In these supportive environments you can: get connected to the community resources you need, meet and support other people with similar experiences, learn self-care strategies and coping techniques, vent, share your personal experiences.
